Team: Calgary Flames
Generation Y. That is the label that the hockey world is giving to the new generation of Sega Superstars making tracks around the Nation. Names like Brandon Clint0n, Jared F100ding, and yes…..Mr. Calgary….Nick S0ve11. Nick had always been a competitor in Sega tournaments but never really had that all out motivation that one needs in himself to excel. That all came to an end during Segathon 2005. Mr. Sove11 was the host to Segathon 2005, but did not make it to the event because of girlfriend duties. Then, at 4am, his girlfriend told him something he would never forget. She said, “Nicholas Sove11!, you tell your stupid friends out there to turn down that Clutch and that damn game, turn down that Clutch now, or else join them. But if you join them….WIN!”
Well, with thoughts of Adrian and Rocky dangling in his head he joined the 2005 Mid Summer Classic and came within 1 game of winning the Pan-O-Prog trophy, losing to an allegedly sober Brandon. And then in the 2006 Segathon, Nick squeaked his way to an undefeated winner’s bracket before play was halted.
He won’t blow you out. You can only try to blow him out. Bottom line is that Mr. Sove11 will use the lessons learned from his close personal friend Jacques Lemaire to frustrate you until thermal breakdown. And unless you have an endless supply of Quakerstate, or your name is Dennis Leary…expect a battle until the end.
